OLE MISS Coach Houston Nutt predicts there will not be a letdown after a thrilling victory over LSU last week. Nut says that the rules are a little different because the Rebels take on rival Mississippi State. “This week’s always personal, it’s a rivalry. SOUTH CAROLINA Coach Steve Spurrier enjoys night games, but doesn’t mind day games later in the season. Spurrier says that with the SEC Network’s partnership with ESPN, his Gamecocks play whenever television tells them to. Gold Star: Kentucky. Kentucky improved 7-4 after its first win over Georgia in Athens in 32 years. Don’t look now, but the Wildcats are on a three-game winning streak heading into a season-ending showdown with Tennessee. Silver Star: Florida backup quarterback John Brantley. Brantley completed 9-of-13 passes for 146 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday against Florida International. TENNESSEE After getting an up-close and personal view of Ole Miss running back/wide receiver Dexter McCluster, Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin thinks there is a future for the speedy Rebel in the NFL. Kiffin says the key to McCluster’s game is the unique combination of being small and fast. LSU Coach Les Miles says that quarterback Jordan Jefferson will be healthy enough to play against the  Rebels this week after suffering an ankle injury against Alabama two weeks ago. Backup quarterback Jarrett Lee got the start against Louisiana Tech last week, but couldn’t find a rhythm.
